Palamos Christmas Race - Wind conditions cause slow start of this year's last Olympic Class Regatta
PALAMOS, SPAIN-(27-12-2003) Races started for all classes with wind 240º, 11 knots veering during the race to 180º forcing the Race Committee to abandon the first race of the day.
Only the Tornado, Yngling and Finn classes sailed one race in very variable wind conditions, 3-6 knots. At around 15.00 hours all classes were sent ashore and no more races will be sailed today.
The weather forecast predicts more wind for the coming days, about 10-12 knots.
Racing continues tomorrow at 11 am.
